Sanyinjiao (SP 6)
[Location] 3 cun above the medial malleolus, on the posterior border of the medial aspect of the tibia.
[Needling and moxibustion Method] Perpendicular insertion 1.0~1.5 cun; moxibustion is applicable.
[Indications ] Pain and weakeness of the foot, beriberi, spleen and stomach deficiency, rugitus and abdominal distention, diarrhea, dyspepsia, irregular menstruation, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, leucorrhea with red and white discharge, menostasia, prolapse of uterus, tumor, postpartum anemic fainting, lochia, infertility, nocuturanl emission, spermatorrhea, impotence, pain in the tool, hernia, oedema, dysuria, testicular shorten into the abdomen, anischuria.
[Common compatibility]
(1) chordapsus—with Tianshu, hegu
(2) anitis due to blood locking—with zhongwan, Neiguan, Zusanli.
(3) irregular menstruation, dysmenorrheal—with zhongji, Tianshu, Xiangjian.
(4) retention of urine—with Yinlingquan, pangguanshu, zhongji.
