Shangqiu (SP5 ) : Jing(river) Point

[Location] In the depression distal of the medial malleolus, midpoint between the tuberosity of the navicular bone and the tip of the medial malleolus.

[Needling and moxibustion Method]  Perpendicular insertion 0.5~0.8 cun ; moxibution is applicable.

[Indications ]  ankle pain, abdominal distention, rigutis, diarrhea, dyspepsia, constipation, jaundice, rigidity and pain of the tongue, lazyness and sleepy, manic psychosis, laughing, nightmares, sightness, infantile epilepsy, cough, hemorrhoids.

[Common compatibility]

(1) diarrhea, abdominal distention—with Tianshu, YINlingquan

(2) constipation due to spleen-dficieny—with Sanyinjiao.
